VenuWorks of Cedar Rapids is an event-based management company that is proud to operate 4 fantastic venues in the heart of our community: Alliant Energy PowerHouse, Paramount Theatre, ImOn Ice Arena, and the McGrath Amphitheater.

We provide our patrons with a diverse schedule of events including: high volume concerts (rock, country, blues, faith based), sporting events (NCAA volleyball, wrestling, basketball, volleyball), Broadway shows, comedians, RoughRiders Hockey, children’s shows, local talent, and so much more!

We depend on our dedicated and enthusiastic team members to ensure all of events are successful and our patrons enjoy their experience. Customer service is our priority!

We offer a flexible schedule to our part time team members who want to keep active and earn extra money. Dependent of our scheduled events we require our team members to work 4 shifts per month to stay active on our rosters.

All positions require standing/walking during shifts. All positions require availability during day/night/weekend shifts.

Candidates for guest services are focused on customer service and will be trained to work all positions while hosting events. Responsibilities include: greeting patrons at entrances, scanning tickets, performing security checks (bags and electronic magnetic scanners), usher to ticketed seating, monitoring crowd control and providing security at entrance/exit points, back/front stage security.

All positions require standing/walking during entirety of shift. Availability needed for shifts during day/night/weekends.

ImOn Ice – Skate Rental Desk Attendant: Wages start at $11.00 per hour

Candidates for skate rental are focused on customer service and will be trained to work at the skate rental desk. Responsibilities include: greeting patrons entering Ice Arena and handle cash/credit card transactions for rentals. Hand out and replace ice skate rentals, clean and monitor desk.

Requires standing during entirety of shift. Availability needed for shifts during day/night/weekends.

ImOn Ice – Ice Skating Monitor: Wages start at $11.00 per hour

Candidates for skate monitor are focused on customer service and must be able to skate forward/backward with proficiency. Responsibilities include: interacting with patrons during public skating, assisting skaters, and monitoring/addressing non-compliant behaviors.

Requires ice skating during entirety of shift. Availability needed for shifts during day/night/weekends.

Experienced Bartenders: Wages start at $10.00 per hour plus tips

Candidates for experienced bartenders are focused on customer service. Responsibilities include: Greet patrons and fill beverage orders in a fast-paced environment. Requires proper identification of age appropriate patrons and serves alcoholic beverages responsibly.

Position requires previous high-volume fast paced bartending experience and vast knowledge of mixed drink recipes. Requires usage of POS systems / cash handling and credit card transactions, standing during entirety of shift, and working at both our indoor and outdoor venues. Availability needed for shifts during nights/weekends.

Operations / Janitorial Staff: Wages start at $14.00 per hour

Candidates for operations/janitorial are focused on general maintenance, conversions, and janitorial services for all venues. Responsibilities include: setting up/tearing down (conversion) of chair seating arrangements, risers, sports floors (volleyball, wrestling, basketball). Sweeps, mops, cleans, restocks supplies in all restrooms, offices, concourses, and collects trash can liners for dumpsters.

Position requires heavy lifting, physical labor, and standing/walking during shifts. Availability needed for shifts during day/night/overnight/weekends.
