(CEDAR RAPIDS, IA) - A new name, look and format has been announced for the BBQ Roundup – now The Roundup. Dubbed the “tastiest music festival in Cedar Rapids”, The Roundup will feature well-known headliners from the 70’s and 80’s in addition to the traditional BBQ available for purchase. The three-day festival will take place at the McGrath Amphitheatre Thursday, June 25th - Saturday, June 27th.
The new format will divide the McGrath Amphitheatre into two distinct sections – the BBQ Food Court will be on the north side of the park and will feature five national-competing BBQ vendors. Music Park will be south of the BBQ Food Court and includes the McGrath Amphitheatre stage where well-known touring headliners will take the stage Friday and Saturday nights. Thursday will feature local bands.

Headlines for Thursday evening will feature local up-and-coming bands who will compete in the Battle of the Bands at Hazzard County in Cedar Rapids on April 25, 2020.

Full bioAdmission to the event will range from $3 for admission to the BBQ Food Court; $10 to the BBQ Food Court and Music Park (GA Lawn seating); and $40 for a VIP ticket which includes admission to the BBQ Food Court, Music Park with VIP reserved seating and private bar. Lunch admission Thursday will be free. Tickets go on-sale Friday, April 3rd at 10 a.m.
